How to upgrade from trial

Learn how to upgrade your Couchdrop account from a trial to a full subscription.

Introduction

When you create a Couchdrop account, a 14-day free trial is automatically activated on the Couchdrop Business plan. During your trial, you have access to the full platform so you can test integrations, workflows, automation, and file transfer functionality without restrictions.

Upgrading to a paid subscription is quick and seamless — all your existing settings, users, integrations, and workflows remain unchanged.


Before You Start

Before upgrading, make sure:

  • You are signed in as the Account Owner

  • You have a valid credit card available

  • You know which subscription plan best suits your organisation

Good to know

Upgrading your account:

  • Does not reset your configuration

  • Does not affect existing integrations or SFTP endpoints

  • Keeps all users, automations, and workflows intact

  • Takes only a few minutes to complete


Upgrade Your Subscription

You can upgrade your account directly from the Couchdrop admin portal.

Step 1 — Sign in to Couchdrop

Go to:

https://my.couchdrop.io

Sign in using your administrator account credentials.

Tip: Make sure you are signing in with the account owner. Team members and administrators do not have billing access.


Step 2 — Open Billing & Subscription Settings

In the bottom-left corner of the admin interface, click:

Upgrade Plan

This opens the subscription and billing section for your account.


Step 3 — Choose Your Plan

Select the subscription plan that best matches your business requirements.

Depending on your selected plan, you may gain access to additional features such as:

  • Advanced automation

  • Additional users

  • Enterprise security features

  • Enhanced support options

  • Increased transfer or storage allowances

Click Subscribe to continue.

Step 4 — Enter Billing Details

Provide your:

  • Billing contact information

  • Company details

  • Credit card or payment information

Once complete, confirm your subscription purchase.


Step 5 — Subscription Activated

After payment is successfully processed:

  • Your subscription becomes active immediately

  • Your trial account converts into a paid subscription

  • All existing configurations remain unchanged

You can continue using Couchdrop without interruption.


What Happens After Upgrading?

Once your subscription is active:

  • Your users, workflows, integrations, and automations remain active

  • Existing SFTP connections continue working normally

  • Your account retains all previous settings and configuration

  • Billing begins from the upgrade date

  • You can manage or change your subscription later from the billing section

No migration or reconfiguration is required.


Common Questions

I can’t see the “Upgrade Plan” button

Only Account Owners can manage subscriptions and billing.

If you do not have access, contact your account owner.


My payment was declined

Please verify:

  • Your card details are correct

  • Your card supports online/international payments

  • Your billing address matches your bank records

  • Sufficient funds are available

If problems continue, contact your bank or reach out to our support team.


Can I extend my trial?

Yes. If you need additional evaluation time, contact our sales team:

Do I lose my data after the trial ends?

No. Your existing configuration and account settings remain available when you upgrade.


Can I change plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade or modify your subscription plan from the billing section of the Couchdrop admin portal.
