# ShareFile

## Overview

Couchdrop can connect directly to ShareFile and make your existing ShareFile storage available through Couchdrop.

Once connected, you can use files and folders stored in ShareFile with Couchdrop file transfer and workflow features while keeping the files in ShareFile.

## How to connect ShareFile

#### Before you start

To connect ShareFile, you will need:

* A ShareFile account
* Access to the ShareFile folders you want Couchdrop to use
* Permission to authorize Couchdrop to access ShareFile

### Add a new storage connection

In Couchdrop, add a new storage connection and select **ShareFile** from the list of available connections.

### Configure ShareFile

Enter a **Name for this integration** and select the **Couchdrop folder path** where the connection will appear.

### Authorize Couchdrop

Select **Authorize with ShareFile**.

Follow the ShareFile authorization process to grant Couchdrop access to your ShareFile account.

Select **Save and Test** to verify the ShareFile connection.

### Select your storage folder

After the connection has been tested, you can optionally select a specific ShareFile folder to map into Couchdrop.

Leaving the folder selection blank allows Couchdrop to map the ShareFile connection directly without restricting it to a specific folder.

#### Add the integration

Optionally, configure **Transfer Shield** and select a content rule group to surface or block unexpected, non-compliant, or malicious files uploaded through this connection.

When the configuration is complete, save the integration.
