# OneDrive

Learn how to connect Couchdrop to a OneDrive folder

## Overview

Couchdrop can connect directly to a OneDrive folder and make that storage available through Couchdrop.

Couchdrop supports personal OneDrive accounts. If you need to connect to SharePoint instead, use the dedicated [SharePoint](/storage/integrations/sharepoint.md) connection.

Once connected, you can use your OneDrive files and folders with Couchdrop file transfer and workflow features while keeping the files stored in OneDrive.

## How to connect OneDrive

#### Before you start

To connect OneDrive, you will need:

* A licensed OneDrive account
* A folder in OneDrive

### Add a new storage connection

In Couchdrop, add a new storage connection and select **OneDrive** from the list of available connections.

### Configure OneDrive

Enter a **Name for this integration** and select the **Couchdrop folder path** where the connection will appear.

Choose whether to enable **Connect as Administrator User**.

### Authorize Couchdrop

Select **Authorize with One Drive**.

A Microsoft OAuth window will open. Sign in to the OneDrive account you want Couchdrop to access, then approve the requested access.

Select **Save and Test** to verify the OneDrive connection.

### Map your preferred OneDrive folder

After the connection has been tested, you can optionally select a specific OneDrive folder using **Select a location**.

Leaving the folder selection blank allows Couchdrop to map the OneDrive connection directly without restricting it to a specific folder.

### Save and use your OneDrive storage connection

Optionally, configure **Transfer Shield** and select a content rule group to surface or block unexpected, non-compliant, or malicious files uploaded through this connection.

When the configuration is complete, save the integration.
