# Static IPs

Learn about Static IPs with Couchdrop

## Introduction

Couchdrop runs across a global network of cloud infrastructure. By default, the public IP addresses used by Couchdrop are dynamic and can change frequently.

If you need to allowlist Couchdrop traffic through a firewall or third-party system, do not attempt to enumerate Couchdrop's standard public IP addresses.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Couchdrop's standard public IP addresses can change frequently, without notice, including multiple times a day.
{% endhint %}

## Enabling Static IPs

Static IPs provide fixed IP addresses that you can allowlist with your firewall, storage provider, trading partner, or other external system.

Static IPs are available with **Couchdrop Essentials**, **Business**, and **Enterprise** plans.

Contact [**sales@couchdrop.io**](mailto:sales@couchdrop.io) if you need Static IPs enabled for your account.
