Learn about custom domains and whitelabelling in Couchdrop
Create your own secure, customer-facing file transfer portals by applying your branding to Couchdrop and customizing data localisation settings. Branding settings must be set by the Owner user and are found in the Admin Panel under Security & Organization → Branding
Configure settings for domain customization and data localization.
Provide a domain that is configured to point to Couchdrop. Use a DNS CNAME record pointed to the domain shown in Domain Customization, e.g. files.mycompany.com -> mycompany.couchdrop.io
If using FTPs with a custom domain, you will need to add your own PEM format certificate that matches your domain. Certificates must be added from the Admin Panel in Administration → Keys to be selectable for custom domains.
Whitelabelling enables you to configure selected components with your branding. Before beginning this process, we recommend you have good-quality versions of your logo and favicon available.
Whitelabelling must be enabled to take effect. Ensure the "Enable Whitelabelled" options for your components are turned on along with the customizations to see the changes.
To apply whitelabelling to your custom domains, add the domains to the "Additional Custom Domains" field. These domains must match what has been configured in Dynamic SSL Configuration and must match your CNAME configuration
This name will appear in the browser tab and on the inbox and login page just below the logo, as well as any checkboxes for "Show company name" options.
Favicon image shown in the browser tab. Image dimensions should be 16px by 16px or 32px by 32px.
These settings apply to the main Couchdrop Portal.
Replace the logo on the login page. The max height is 300px with the width adjusted accordingly.
Replace the logo in the top left of the Couchdrop Portal. The height should be 24px with the width adjusted accordingly.
These settings apply to portals for Shared Links and Request Files.
