# Branding and Custom Domains

Create your own secure, customer-facing file transfer portals by applying your branding to Couchdrop and customizing data localisation settings. Branding settings must be set by the Owner user and are found in the Admin Panel under **Security & Organization → Branding**

### Data Localisation and Domain Customization

Configure settings for domain customization and data localization.

#### Dynamic SSL Configuration (Domain Customization)

Provide a domain that is configured to point to Couchdrop. Use a DNS CNAME record pointed to the domain shown in **Domain Customization,** e.g. `files.mycompany.com -> mycompany.couchdrop.io`

#### Custom FTPs Certificates

If using FTPs with a custom domain, you will need to add your own PEM format certificate that matches your domain. Certificates must be added from the Admin Panel in **Administration** **→ Keys** to be selectable for custom domains.

## Whitelabelling and Branding

Whitelabelling enables you to configure selected components with your branding. Before beginning this process, we recommend you have good-quality versions of your logo and favicon available.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Whitelabelling must be enabled to take effect. Ensure the "**Enable Whitelabelled**" options for your components are turned on along with the customizations to see the changes.
{% endhint %}

#### Additional Custom Domains

To apply whitelabelling to your custom domains, add the domains to the "Additional Custom Domains" field. These domains must match what has been configured in [Dynamic SSL Configuration](#dynamic-ssl-configuration-domain-customization) and must match your CNAME configuration
